  • Dale Kurschner

    MANAGING PARTNER

    Dale is managing partner of Excelsior Hospitality Group LLC, which is developing this hotel. He also is an executive consultant with Platinum Group, which assists business owners and CEOs with acquisitions and divestitures, turnarounds, re-financings and crisis situations. Dale has 25 years of leadership and management experience in private and public corporate, nonprofit and civic organizations and specializes in strategy and execution during challenging times. His background includes serving as an award-winning business editor and writer who analyzed and reported on more than 1,600 businesses and conducted interviews with more than 700 CEOs. Dale also served as a Planning Commission member and City Council member for the City of Excelsior through 2022.

  • Vince Micha, AIA

    ARCHITECT

    An architect and partner at The Kubala Washatko Architects (TKWA), Vince has played a central role in many of the firm’s most significant design projects, including serving as Project Manager for the national AIA COTE Top Ten Green Project Award winner - the addition to Frank Lloyd Wright’s First Unitarian Society Meeting House in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2016, Vince was Project Manager for Charmant Hotel in La Crosse, Wisconsin—a $30 million adaptive re-use of a former candy factory warehouse into an upscale boutique hotel. The Charmant subsequently received the Wisconsin Historical Society Preservation Award, the state’s highest honor for historic work.

  • Ethan Bartos

    ARCHITECT

    Ethan is a partner and leads TKWA’s Seattle studio. An exceptional designer, Ethan has the ability to find creative, cost-effective design solutions for a variety of building types. Significant projects include AIA COTE Top Ten Green Project Award-winning addition to Frank Lloyd Wright’s First Unitarian Society Meeting House in Madison, WI and the ZhongGuanCun Elementary School No. 3 in Beijing, China. Ethan has outstanding 3D modeling skills that efficiently and effectively engage clients in the design process. He has managed many projects, works internationally, spoken publicly, and works locally to transform his community.

  • Michel Gabbud

    HOTEL MANAGEMENT & OPERATIONS ADVISOR

    Michel is General Manager of The Charmant, a boutique hotel, restaurant and events business in La Crosse, Wis. He has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the hotel and hotel-restaurant arenas. This ranges from serving as Lobby Manager/Room Service Manager at The Peninsula Hotels to Director of Outlets at Sofitel Luxury Hotels in Chicago and Restaurant Director at Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago.

    RESTAUARANT CONCEPT & MENU

    Phil is co-founder and president, Donna is COO and Todd is culinary director for Parasole Restaurant Holdings. Parasole created several well-known Twin Cities area restaurants including The Good Earth, Manny’s Steakhouse, Oceanaire, Salut Bar Americain, Chino Latino and Pittsburgh Blue.

    Roger is chair and CEO and Molly is senior director for The Gettys Group Companies. Gettys is a hotel design and development firm that dedicated to creating the inspired moments that stay with guests and the defined details that enrich brands.
